We are excited to announce »Favourite Darkness«, a major upcoming exhibition by Anton Corbijn, starting on February 15, 2025, at the Kunstforum in Vienna.
Corbijn’s work in photography, film, and design has had a profound influence on how we perceive pop culture since the 1970s.
The exhibition highlights Corbijn’s distinctive ability to capture the essence of his subjects through a melancholic visual language. It traces his journey from his early images of Joy Division and his time at New Musical Express in London in the early 1980s to his iconic photographic portraits, music videos, and album designs for artists like Depeche Mode.
Spanning five decades, the retrospective offers a comprehensive view of Corbijn’s career and his significant impact on contemporary visual culture.
